Hi!!
I'm Jaz (they/them) and I'm an Australian storyboard artist and animator.I absolutely love cartoons, with my favourite especially being 'The Owl House' by Dana Terrace- the autism special interest stuck itself so hard that I'm studying a degree because of it!!I'm super passionate about what I do, and have a special interest in storyboarding and 2D animation.

â–¢ Studying a Bachelor of Animation (Feb 5 2023-present) at SAE Creative University College.
â–¢ My current digital illustration software of choice is Clip Studio Paint (formally known as Manga Studio 4)!
â–¢ I have experience in using Toon Boom Harmony, Davinci Resolve and After Effects.
â–¢ 'ghost girlfriends' has been my tumblr handle for as long as i can remember! i can't remember what made me come up to it, but something about little ghost girlfriends loving each other in death is kinda cool to me.

RUNE

'RUNE' focuses on a scientist that comes across a pedestal with a rune engraved onto it. Intrigued, and without a second thought, she touches it. However, it is found that the rune is a symbol of corruption and death, leading to black magic crawling up her arm and corrupting her as an individual.

Hunter's Nightmare

"Hunter's Nightmare' is a fan-animatic based on Disney TVA series 'The Owl House' that takes place on the first night of the kids being in the Human Realm. After the events of 'Hollow Mind' and 'King's Tide', Hunter is still trying to process this new information regarding his 'uncle' being a witch-hunter, his loss of sense of self and fear of Belos.

Before The Epilogue

"Before The Epilogue" is a fan animatic based on 'The Owl House' by Dana Terrace focused on the relationship between Matt and Gus within the show. It is set just after Season 2 Episode 3 'Watching and Dreaming.' I am a bit delusional and want to believe that these two characters were supposed to have their own subplot with the 'enemies to friends to lovers' trope and wanted to lean into that with this 2:30 animatic.

The Red Scare

"The Red Scare" is a collaborative short film created for the Aftermath project. I storyboarded two scenes, the opening sequence and scene 3, where the protagonist realises she is not alone in the empty labratory.

Sproutbound

'Sproutbound' is currently only a pitch deck made for my Studio 3 class 'Worldbuilders' project. It follows follows Stonks (Charlie Ortez), a boy who does not remember anything about himself, discovers that his DNA had been fused with plant life. He strangely befriends a snarky teen with a love of cryptology and scifi, Axel, as they try to figure out who he is, where he came from, and why a department of unofficial scientists are after them.

Studio 4 Showreel

This video is a showreel that contains all my work from this trimester in Studio 4, as well as some from last trimester's Studio 3 class. This includes my Worldbuilder's animatic, my work in the specialisation project where I focused on storyboarding and animation layouts, as well as my rapid production film "RUNE" from Studio 3.
